Dublin Contemporary 2011

Dublin Contemporary 2011 is Ireland's International Art Exhibition featuring over 114 Irish and international artists.

Taking place from September 6th until October 31st, Dublin Contemporary 2011 it's very ambitious for Dublin to hold. Work of more than 114 Irish and international artists  will transform the city. This will be an amazing showcase of visual art, innovation, creativity and imagination. Dublins Art Scene is fighting back against the financial tide that has hit the world hard.

Theme

The title and theme of Dublin Contemporary 2011 is Terrible Beauty—Art, Crisis, Change & The Office of Non-Compliance. Taken from William Butler Yeats’ famous poem “Easter, 1916”.


The Exhibition is held across several sites in Dublin ranging from the Earlsfort Terrace exhibition site, The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, The National Gallery of Ireland and The Royal Hibernian Academy.
